"The Buddha, the Godhead, resides quite as comfortably in the circuits of a digital computer or the gears of a cycle transmission as he does at the top of a mountain or in the petals of a flower." - Robert M. Pirsig.  Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, 1974

The acceleration of change and the growth of informational complexity in these wondrous days are palatable. We're watching as everything we know, and everything we are comes together in a global network that unites and defines our species. The juxtaposition of technology and spirit is the only portal of understanding to these phenomenon. Not precisely Zen, and not exclusively Java, these concepts represent the whole each from their own perspective. But it is nevertheless a single whole.
